I Take You by Eliza Kennedy review

I joined Blogging for Books back in 2014 and finally got around to reading and reviewing the first book I requested. The the title of that book is I Take You, Here is the summary from Amazon’s website:

Meet Lily Wilder: New Yorker, lawyer extraordinaire, blushing bride. And totally incapable of being faithful to one man.

Lily’s fiancé Will is a brilliant, handsome archaeologist. Lily is sassy, impulsive, fond of a good drink (or five) and has no business getting married. Lily likes Will, but does she love him? Will loves Lily, but does he know her? As the wedding approaches, Lily’s nights—and mornings, and afternoons—of booze, laughter and questionable decisions become a growing reminder that the happiest day of her life might turn out to be her worst mistake yet.

Unapologetically sexy with the ribald humor of Bridesmaids, this joyously provocative debut introduces a self-assured protagonist you won’t soon forget.

And boy where they right. This isn’t a book I would normally read, I’m really into YA Fiction novels, but I couldn’t help myself to have a love/hate relationship with Lily Wilder as time went on.

If I Was Your Girl Book Review

If I Was Your Girl Book Review

If it hadn’t been for Zoella’s recent vlog post from July 6th, I never would have heard of this book. She talked about it at the end and read the back cover of the book and instantly I was interested in hooked. I spent the rest of the day updating my iPad (which I read on) and getting that up and running then buying the book to read the next day. I blew through it in a whole day, so here below is my If I Was Your Girl Book Review!

Before you read below, please go to my spoilers page and heed the warning.

Girl Online by Zoe Sugg Review

Girl Online by Zoe Sugg Review

If you haven’t heard of Zoella than you must not use Youtube at all, and you also must live under a rock. She’s got over 10 million subscribers on her channel, her own beauty line as well as a series of books titled Girl Online. The first book came out in November 2014, which is titled Girl Online (obviously) and the second came out a year later titled Girl Online: On Tour. She announced on July 9th that her third book is coming out later this year and is titled Girl Online: Going Solo.

Zoe’s books have been on my reading list for quite a while and since I’ve discovered that reading helps keep my anxiety levels down, I finally bought it from the iBooks Store and gave it a read yesterday. I demolished it all in one sitting.

Before you click below, make sure to read my statement on spoilers here.

The Cuckoo’s Calling – Robert Galbraith

Before you read this review, read my philosophy on spoilers here

I love J.K Rowling’s writing. From Harry Potter to Casual Vacancy, I have read almost all of them (well I haven’t quite finished Casual Vacancy yet…). She is my writing inspiration and I love that she is branching out and writing new genres and not sticking to the Harry Potter face that she is most known for. I also think that it is a good idea that she wrote this novel and its sequel under a different name rather than her own. In a way if this book had not sold well, her own reputation would not have been damaged. Of course in my opinion, J.K Rowling can do no wrong in the writing world.

I bought The Cuckoo’s Calling spontaneously in about August before I left for school. I have had it sitting in my room for ages now and finally about a week ago I decided to pick it up and read it. What really caught me was the cover – they say not to judge a book by its cover but with this book the cover caught my attention. I then read the back and the book sounded good and interesting.
