Before we begin, let me first apologize for completely dying last week. Life got busy and it took priority over the blog. But while I have been gone, I have not watched as much as I would have liked, but enough to satisfy you Netflix bingers and movie goers. I’ve only got three things on the list but a little extra at the end of what YOUTUBE I’ve been watching lately. Without further ado, lets get to it!
This week on Fandom Fridays we’re going to talk about something dear to my heart: the CW show Supernatural. I started watching Supernatural back in 2012 and got bored with season 1. I took a year off from watching it and then got back into it the summer of 2013. It took me the whole summer to watch 7 seasons and a day to watch season 8 before the season 9 premiere. Now I am just flat out obsessed with it. I never miss an episode, and have seen all 200+ episodes more than once.
To me, Supernatural is much more than just a show. It’s made me friends that will last a lifetime and given me actors to look up to.
Wonder Woman made her silver screen debut in Batman V Superman for a total of 20 minutes of screentime. It was 20 minutes of beautiful screentime that was easily the best part of the whole movie. Finally, she was able to let her light shine in her own movie and boy, it was just fantastic. It definitely wasn’t what I expected. Wonder Woman is so much more than just a superhero movie. Wonder Woman is breaking box office records and director Patty Jenkins is getting the recognition she deserves. She is the first female director to direct and make a superhero movie of this scale.
It is amazing. Not only the movie, but the impact that it has on the world already. It’s shocking, but people are surprised that Wonder Woman is doing so well. She needed to get her time on the big screen, and she got it just when we needed it most. If you need a refresh as to how awesome this movie looked, here’s the trailer.
As always read my spoiler warning before proceeding.
This review may be relatively short because it has been over a week since I saw the movie. But at first glance, I was nervous to see this movie. I had been seeing Facebook reviews from critics who saw it early, and they were saying the movie is a flop. It scored a 27% rotten score on Rotten Tomatoes by critics! I went to see it with a bunch of friends and we all agreed on the same thing: Pirates of the Caribbean 5 was not as bad as the critics were making it out to be. As usual please read my spoiler warning before proceeding on to read!
This week, we’re going to be going to a galaxy far, far away… That’s right folks, today we’re delving into my Star Wars obsession. Not just my Star Wars obsession though entirely, but the whole worlds Star Wars obsession. Bare with me, this is my first proper Fandom Friday and its a learning process for me. But without further ado, let’s all board the Millenium Falcon and travel to the galaxy far, far away!
In another new and exciting series, I am introducing you to: The Monthly! This is going to be my version of Monthly Favorites that you see on Youtube. The Monthly will include things that I’ve watched from What I Watched Wednesdays that I am going to summarize into one neat post, books I’ve read, products I’ve tried (when I get new products), and just general life things and happiness. Let’s get to it!
